COMPANY HISTORY - PRODUCT LINE

Fodder raw material production

The task of the fodder branch of business is to have the cereal raw materials, necessary for the fodder manufacturing, produced and to purchase the protein plants, the premixes and vitamins. This branch of business ensures the production, the purchase and storage of cereals in three production areas: in Nyírkércs, in Balsa, and in Nyírmada. The fodder raw materials are grown on nearly 5,500 hectares. Our cereals storage capacity is more than 52 thousand tons.

Our mixing plant needs industrial-type and other materials in addition to the cereals as raw materials, therefore the raw material management does not only mean the purchase, storage and texture maintenance of the cereals, but also the continuous purchase of industrial raw materials whose quantity is lower but specific value is higher (soy, sunflower, alfalfa, vitamins, minerals etc.).

The quality and traceability of the raw materials is of highest importance both for the raw material production and for their purchase. We must keep in mind that the fodder will later be given to animals used for human consumption. Therefore no genetically manipulated raw material should get into our system. This effort is supported by our strict laboratory background and by our monitoring system.

Fodder production

In our three fodder mixing plants nearly 100 thousand tons of fodder is produced, its 85% is given to our own breeding and meat stock, while the remaining 15% is sold through our brand shops. We have more than 300 brand shops in the Eastern Hungarian region where fodder in bags, chicklings and pre-raised poultry are sold.

Our company has developed special fodders with high nutrition value for each animal species, we are distributing fodders also for farm animals other than chickens and hens (e.g. for pig, rabbit, cattle, duck, goose, turkey etc.).

Our poultry fodders are produced in the special fodder mixing plants in Balsa and in Nyírmada, well separated from the manufacturing of the fodder for other farm animals. During manufacturing, the air is cleaned with micro filters and the fodder is made hygienic at high temperatures with a special equipment developed only for this purpose to ensure that the fodder is free from Salmonella and other germs.

The poultry fodders are manufactured from the strictly and continuously controlled raw materials produced in the integration. The fodder is guaranteed to be free from yield increasers and antibiotics, as well as from genetically modified raw materials. We feel responsibility for our environment, therefore we, in a verified manner, do not use any soy produced on soil taken from rain forests.

Keeping parent couples

The parent couple raising and keeping belongs to the tasks of the raising business unit. Its major task is to produce high quality breeding eggs. The quality of the breeding eggs basically determines the quality of the chicklings, which significantly influences the integration’s effectiveness and safety.

The produced breeding eggs are brought from the poultry farms to the incubators of the Master Good group of companies. The transport is carried out with special closed vehicles. The sector has more than 43,000 m2 parent couple pre-raising and laying plants. We keep 225,000 parent couple hens in our premises on an annual basis.

Basically, we work with two types of parent couples: meat-type broiler, and colourful species parent couples. The Master Good group of companies is the breeding organization of several species within the colourful species. These species with their various colours are hugely popular in the household farms.  The colourful poultry used for our Farm Chicken Program also originates from our own premises.

The animal welfare measures get special emphasis during raising, so we use deep litter husbandry for the birds on all of our parent couple premises. The birds do not get any antibiotics to increase the yield, their immune system is usually strengthened with herb products, their fodder does not contain any genetically modified raw materials.

Hatching

The Master Good group of companies’ hatching activity has a major role in our integration efforts since the company was incorporated.

Matching the continuous market growth and taking the strict regulations of the free range husbandry program into consideration (the free range species need to be hatched separately from the meat-type chicklings), we decided to build a new hatching plant which started to hatch the chicklings as one of Hungary’s most modern plants in February, 2002. The incubators are fully automated and computer-controlled, so we can trace back all the data and information of the hatching processes of the previous years. Our strict monitoring system and own laboratory tests enable us to check the hatching processes. While our hatching activity is done, we strictly obey the animal welfare laws. During hatching we can apply the most modern vaccination methods (against poultry plague, bronchitis, Gumboro diseases, and Marek’s diseases).

Presently the chicklings are hatched in two hatching plants.
The group of companies hatches and distributes nearly 25 million chicklings on an annual level.

Broiler raising

The Master Good group of companies’ integration efforts include that we have created Hungary’s biggest broiler chicken raising capacity with the same ownership structure (the group of companies has more than 100 thousand m2 raising capacity). It may be interesting both for our business partners and for our consumers. High standard quality policy is pursued on our breeding premises. As a result, constantly high quality and guaranteed quantity are provided regardless of the season.

The birds raised in the sector are perched with 18 chicken /m2 density. The animal welfare measures get special emphasis during raising. The birds do not get any antibiotics to increase the yield, their immune system is usually strengthened with herb products. The sector set the objective the increase the capacity and, at the same time, improve the automatism of the premises and the technological equipment.

Processing - processing plant in Kisvárda

The processing plant in Kisvárda has a past of 30 years. During the past 30 years it has had several owners. Our company has bought the plant in April 2004, then reconstructed the processing plant in Kisvárda from 1 billion Forint in year 2005.

The plant has always been famous for the high quality of its goods. We have kept the tradition so far and wish to keep it in the future, therefore we make significant investments and developments year by year into our plant.

Further processing

Further processing plant

The Master Good group of companies decided to expand the company’s range of business in summer 2003. Therefore we started to build a further processing plant within the framework of a green field investment in Petneháza. The production was started in the plant in Petneháza in February, 2004. Primarily various meat products and ready-made meals are made in our plant.

The company manufactures the pickled and marinated products for the domestic market and the ready-made meals for the export market here. The plant satisfies the strictest quality assurance requirements and complies with all the significant quality control systems of Europe.
